“Language is the biggest invention of mankind” Mr. Javed Jabbar addresses the students @ Iqra University North Nazimabad Campus
Mr. Javed Jabbar, a renowned politician, eminent scholar, an accomplished Social Entrepreneur, and a media-mogul visited Iqra University North Nazimabad Campus on 1st May, 2012, and addressed the students of Media Studies, Business Administration and Computer Science.
With his candid, yet intellectually stimulating talk, Mr. Jabbar mesmerized the audience and kept them spell-bound during his two hours session. Addressing and calling them with their first name; an unprecedented experience for many first semester students; he started off by successfully removing the communication barriers and subsequently moved to serious topics of PAKISTANIAT, dynamics of contemporary media and Universal Humanism.
He spoke at length about the importance of language and declared language as the most important invention of mankind. He sensitized students with the oft-taboo topic of contemporary nationalist-movements in Pakistan, and inspired the audience not to shy away from these issues, rather deal them as a national identity transition. He also urged students to take part in active politics in their distant futures. In the end, Dr. Wasim Qazi, Vice President Iqra University gave a vote of thanks and presented the guest with a shield.
Iqra University North Nazimabad Campus is grateful to Mr. Javed Jabbar for taking out time from his busy schedule and making the effort of inspiring our youth. We hope and we pray that IU and Mr. Javed Jabbar continue to educate our nation and play our roles in the development of the country, in our own spheres, in the times to come.
